Part I - Winter Travels January and February 2022

Winter Road Trip January to February 2022

This winter (mid-January > early March 2022) we took several "road trips" from our home near Zion National Park Utah to Southern California and Arizona/Nevada to visit family, get warm, and explore areas along the Lower Colorado River we haven't seen for a few years.  We'll present highlights in five parts.

Part I -- January 16-28, 2022:

Our first stop starting in mid-January had us stay several days in and around the Valley of Fire State Park near Overton Nevada (see picture below).  It was cold in the shade but warm in the sun and the geological wonders were truly spectacular.  BTW, we show many more photos on my Instagram and Facebook pages than we have here on the BLOG.  See my website: geobobford.com

2) After a short weekend around Loma Linda University Health (January 22-25) to attend a memorial service for a longtime friend and visit family in the Redlands area, we went further south to spend several lovely days until the end of January around the Escondido, Julian, Temecula, and the Ramona area of San Diego and Riverside Counties.  Following are a few memories in photos.

A few sights around Redlands California in the downtown area.
